WITH the announcement that Pounds 2 billion is to be cut from the Ministry of Justice which could mean prisons and courts closing down and even police officers being made redundant, the retiring chief constable of Cambridgeshire says the cutbacks are "the biggest challenge to policing" since she joined the service in 1978.
