Cricketer Banned for Abuse Incident

Summary


A Bagnall cricketer has been banned by the club for the rest of the season after verbally abusing an opponent.

In what is believed to be the first case of its kind in local cricket, Gareth Walker, pictured, was sent from the field by his captain Tony Griffiths, after the incident with Hanford batsman Roger Davis in their North Staffs and South Cheshire League Division Three fixture at Bagnall on May 12.
