STOKE City chairman Peter Coates insists there are no plans to sell Ryan Shawcross - despite the recordbreaking signature of Robert Huth.
And he hailed the proposed Pounds 11m double signing of Huth and Tuncay as a momentous day in the history of Stoke City. Huth's arrival, for what could eventually be a club record Pounds 6m, now leaves manager Tony Pulis with experienced cover at centre-half should he lose Shawcross (below). But Coates is adamant that Shawcross will remain in the Potteries to continue his impressive progress since first arriving from Manchester United two years ago. "Ryan Shawcross is staying at Stoke City," he affirmed. "We see Ryan being with us for the long-term, because he's only going to get better.See the full content of this document
