I WOULD be very surprised if James Beattie's City career is over following Saturday's bust-up at the Emirates. I don't know exactly what went on when the striker and Tony Pulis supposedly had a set- to over the squad's Christmas party. I suspect there's a world of difference between what is alleged to have happened and what took place - but even if it was a physical confrontation, this needn't be the end for the striker.
It might be different if Beattie were a serial troublemaker, but he's got a reputation in the game as a good professional and a leader in the dressing room.See the full content of this document
