CHESHIRE: The fire service is hosting special Awareness Days to help recruit women and ethnic minorities into the brigade.
Deputy chief fire officer Paul Hancock said: "We are proud of our staff, however we are also conscious that we do not get many women or people from ethnic minority backgrounds applying for firefighter positions.
