CHARITY MATCH: Rival football fans went toe-totoe to raise funds for disabled gymnasts. Supporters of Stoke City and Manchester United played in a series of games at Fenton Park to drum up cash for the Great Britain National Disabilities Display Team. The squad, which is made up of youngsters with Down's syndrome, are hoping to fly out to Switzerland in July for an international competition. Organiser of the fundraiser Rachel Allen, aged 25, from Fenton, said: "We have managed to raise Pounds 560 and more is still to come in."
The football matches saw Manchester United supporters win in both the women's and men's games, while the children took victory for Stoke City.See the full content of this document
