DETAILS have been unveiled about the Centre of Refurbishment Excellence (CoRE), which bosses hope can put Stoke-on-Trent on the map nationally, and even internationally, when it comes to construction.

The Grade-II listed former Enson Works in Longton are being transformed into a national training centre for the construction sector and a showcase for the latest environmentallyfriendly development techniques. The Pounds 11 million-plus project, a partnership between Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Stoke-on-Trent College and the Building Research Establishment (BRE), will see the college's construction students moving to new facilities there, while the college will expand its range of courses.
