THERE I was, half watching television and half-heartedly playing solitaire on my laptop. I couldn't check my emails because my internet provider has cut my connection due to a glitch in my finances. Oh dear, I'm beginning to sound like a local council or a bank or major manufacturer - except that central government won't be bailing me out with public funds.

Ah well, maybe I could get a large property company to redevelop my garden for a huge amount of cash.There I go again sounding like a local council.
