ANDY Caddick has announced his retirement from first-class cricket at the end of the current season. The 40-year-old former England pace bowler confirmed his decision at the close of the third day's play in Somerset's LV County Championship match against Nottinghamshire at Taunton.
He had just taken his tally of firstclass wickets to 1,178 in a career that saw him claim 234 Test wickets for England in 62 matches, and appear in 54 oneday internationals.
