E NUMBERS don't have a good name in healthy eating circles. Which is a shame because a sprinkle of E182 can really liven up a bland salad. An Edible Adventure sees food writer Stefan Gates, pictured above, set out to uncover the truth about these notorious food additives. He wants to find out where these chemicals come from, what they actually do in our food, and if they're responsible for turning Judith Chalmers orange.
