Stafford-based Julie Brown acted as team captain for England at the girls' home international matches at Southerndown in Wales.

The former Izaak Walton professional, who also played on the WPGA European Tour, said; "I did a couple of England girls' matches last year and was asked to do some more. "I was also asked whether I would be available for the European junior championships in Oslo, but had to turn that down.
