RESIDENTS in multi-storey flats have been ordered to store all their household rubbish inside their homes - or carry it down to bins in the car park themselves - due to fire safety fears.
The decision by Stoke-on-Trent City Council follows safety assessments which raised concerns that communal spaces used to store bins for each floor are a fire hazard. Disabled and elderly residents will now have to gather rubbish inside their flats and wait for it to be collected.See the full content of this document
