AS A family of motorcyclists, my first encounter with the motorcycling world came when my brother and my late father each bought a moped and motorcycle (Gilera Touring 50 and a Suzuki A100) respectively from the brothers at Norman & Birch in Hanley in 1974, where they held a Suzuki franchise.
I bought my first bike, a Yamaha FS1E moped, from them secondhand when I left school and started work at Spode in Stoke and I still buy my bikes from them to this day.See the full content of this document
