BIG IT UP: Art lovers had the chance to meet the creators of some larger than life exhibits.

The event at Burslem School of Art yesterday featured work by three artists from Sheffield: sculptor Simon Kent, professional ceramic artist Brian Holland and painter Bernard Culshaw. Visitors were able to view the art and have a chat with the artists. Ieva Alksne, commercial arts and events co-ordinator at the school of art, said: "We had a similar "meet the artist" event with John Adams in February. It was very well attended and we had lots of good feedback, so we decided we'd have another event.
