BHANGRA: Primary school pupils found an alternative way of keeping active by trying their hand at Bhangra dancing. Hillside Primary School, in Baddeley Green, received a visit from dance artist Sohan Kailey, who hosted workshops and an assembly in front of staff and students.
The assembly saw Sohan deliver a presentation on the history of Bhangra dancing before he got the whole room up and moving. Teacher Kay Kirkham, who organised the event alongside Stoke-on-Trent City Council's Olympic co-ordinator Vanessa Darlington, said the event lifted the school.See the full content of this document
