MADAM, - In response to your recent request for information and pictures referring to the Majestic Ballroom, I enclose some items your readers may find interesting.

The first are pictures of the 1958 Miss Staffordshire competition. The winner was 19-year-old Jennifer Booth from Ball Green and the judges were myself (Peter Haynes), actress Joan Rice, Percy Hughes, the long-term manager of the Theatre Royal, and cinema managers Ronald Baker and Arthur McLeod. Jennifer won a Pounds 10 prize, handed out by Joan, and Miss Margaret Viggars of Burslem was the runner-up.
