TV preview By John Woodhouse FIFA's Dirty Secrets BBC1, 8.30pm THERE are some who believe the BBC shouldn't screen its investigation into corruption allegations against some of the FIFA officials who will vote on England's World Cup bid before the tournament is allocated this week. I presume they're the people who asked their mates not to speak of their partners' indiscretions before marriage. Andrew Jennings' Panorama exposes new evidence of bribery and accuses some executives of taking kickbacks. He also uncovers the secret agreements which could guarantee FIFA a financial bonanza if England hosts the World Cup.

The English bid team asked the BBC to delay its screening but were given short shrift. It is, after all, not really the BBC's problem if FIFA gets in a huff about being exposed as corrupt.
