VALE manager Jim Gannon and his assistant Geoff Horsfield are to carry on working together after a two-and-ahalf week investigation into a bust-up on the team bus was concluded yesterday.

Horsfield returned to coach the first team on Monday for the first time since a heated row with Gannon during a trip to Aldershot on Friday, February 25, which saw both men abandoned at motorway service stations along the way. An internal inquiry was immediately launched into the A MAJORITY of Port Vale shareholders have no confidence in the club's board, according to a poll published early today. Undertaken by fans group North London Valiants, the poll claimed 77 per cent of respondents had no confidence in the board to make the right decisions about future investment in the club. More than 84 per cent said they were prepared to use their shares to call an extraordinary general meeting, while more than 80 per cent wanted a change to the rule which limits a single investors to a holding of no more than 24.9 per cent in the club. And 73 per cent backed businessman Mo Chaudry's bid to buy the club. The results were based on responses from 40.5 per cent - or 339 - of Vale's shareholders. The results come a day after the board revealed they are to hold their own independent poll of shareholders on Chaudry's offer. Members of the North London Valiants currently number 100.
