Carl Thackery, one of Britain's most successful road runners of the 1980s and 90s, will return to competition after a five-year absence to take part in next month's Hanley Building Society Potters 'Arf marathon.
Thackery, aged 46, a member of Sheffield's Hallamshire Harriers club, won the IAAF World half marathon championship in 1992.See the full content of this document
