ART INSPIRATION: Cheshire-based fine artist Annabel Thornton has returned to her birthplace with her latest exhibition. Variations, which opened on Saturday at Nantwich Museum's Millennium Gallery, explores the themes of movement and emotion. The 48 pieces on show range from portraits to wildlife images, as well as dance and musicinspired paintings and drawings.

The exhibition runs until March 5. Museum assistant, 17-year-old Thomas Findlay, of Nantwich, is pictured looking over some of the work on display.
