THE team of archaeologists working on the site where the Staffordshire Hoard was discovered have now finished their excavations.
The dig, led by Staffordshire County Council's principal archaeologist Steve Dean, was an attempt to discover more about why the treasure, which includes more than 1,500 artefacts and has been valued at Pounds 3.285 million, was left there.See the full content of this document
