For adrenaline-fuelled frights, this year's Alton Towers 'Scarefest' from October 15 to 31 promises to be more spine- chilling than ever, with riproaring rides, blockbusting attractions, amazing live shows, and weird and wonderful costume characters - and the park will be open until 9pm (www.altontowers.com).
