How did you become involved in the choir?
I started with the choir in 1969 when my husband and I moved to Congleton. I was only supposed to be doing a small stint while they looked for a new musical director, but 40 years on I'm still going strong. There were only 18 singers in the choir at the time and the balance was terrible. The men originally asked my husband to tutor them, but he told them I was a better person to choose because he liked to sing too much.See the full content of this document
