Toll Road Owner Brings in New Fees
THE cost of driving across the M6 toll road is set to rise. Owner Midland Expressway Limited said the revised tolls would come into force from 6am on March 1. Cars will be asked to pay another 20p to use the road during the day.

Drug User Guilty of Killing Friend
A MAN has been found guilty of murdering his friend following a suspected row over drugs. Simon Taylor, aged 36, had denied the murder of 35-yearold Mark Carroll, whose body was discovered at the defendant's address in Marston Road, Stafford.

THE father of a man who claimed he was abused by a priest as a boy has told a court he saw no reason to worry about his son's well- being. Alexander Bede Walsh, who served as a Catholic priest in Cheadle for 14 years, is currently on trial accused of abusing eight boys over a 20-year period.
