CENTENARY HELP: I wonder if any readers have any recollection of Harold John Plant's association with Staffordshire County Cricket Club and any local clubs that he may have been connected with. Harold was a director at R.H & S.L Plant (Tuscan China) and was also the founder of the 8th North Staffs Company of The Boys' Brigade at the Methodist Central Hall, Longton, in 1909.

Toy Gun Robber in Store Hold-Up ; Raider 'Fired' Weapon at Newsagent

DRUNKEN Ashley Woolley picked up a toy gun he found outside a newsagents and went inside and tried to rob the shopkeeper. The 19-year-old carried out the "stupid" attempted robbery at the shop in Dartmouth Street, Burslem, at 7.45pm on April 12 this year.
